Our project aims to create a methodological framework that integrates top-down and bottom-up approaches to support climate adaptation and mitigation strategies across multiple sectors (e.g., agriculture, health, energy, water, biodiversity, forestry, transport, urban planning). By involving scientists, businesses, governments, policymakers, and citizens through participatory methods, we aim to enhance the effectiveness of these strategies.
The framework will be tested through five EU-level case studies addressing specific climate risks, with six additional case studies prepared for replication
Throughout its 3.5 years of duration, the adaptation and mitigation strategies will examine interactions, synergies and trade-offs with the ultimate goal to tackle the risks of climate change.
